About the role

Wolseley UK are currently recruiting a Senior Sourcing Manager to drive our sourcing strategy on behalf of the business. This crucial role is responsible for leading commercial negotiations with suppliers, managing performance and alongside the product management team, identifying sources of supply. 

You will be responsible for employing significant negotiation skills to deliver substantial cost of goods benefits through agreed sourcing techniques across the value chain of the product ranges.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Developing insights into strategic EU sourcing locations and the benefits to be derived, in terms of quality and price, from different EU locations.
  • Ownership and management of supplier contracts.
  • Understanding the supplier market landscape and developing key commercial insights regarding component materials and markets that can be leveraged to improve cost of goods.
  • Developing supplier relationships and expertise to maximise commercial agreements with high performing suppliers and identifying opportunities for expanding these relationships with key suppliers.
  • Developing a deep understanding of quality requirements for products.
  • Liaison with Supply Chain and Logistics to remove barriers to the seamless and efficient movement of goods between suppliers and Wolseley.
  • Management of supplier performance to meet agreed targets e.g. product quantities, delivery dates, product quality etc.
