Finance Business Support Clerk – Exception Handling

About the role:

Wolseley are currently recruiting for two Exceptional Handling Clerk's to join the Finance Business Support team. You will be responsible for dealing with stakeholders in a professional manner at all times, providing an excellent customer service experience & achieving KPI’s as set. Ensuring audit control procedure is adhered to at all times.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Highlighting any financial risk to the business
  • Liaising directly with customers to obtain a copy remittance for unallocated cash amounts
  • Liaising with suppliers to advise of invoices on hold
  • Reducing aged debt to suppliers & prompt resolution of accounts on stop
  • Liaising with branches for non-receipt of stock
  • Chasing suppliers for monies owed (debt balances, rebates), controlling any risks to the business
  • Reviewing supplier match rates
  • Reviewing claims for discount not allowed
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Logging invoice queries through Querydesk portal
  • Build & maintain stakeholder relationships by regular meetings, conference calls & visits

 

You will have:

  • Previous experience working in an Accounts Payable and / or Accounts Receivable role.
  • Strong communication skills both written & verbal
  • Self motivated to reduce aged supplier debt
  • Able to multitask & work under pressure of month end deadlines
  • Prompt management of invoice queries both internally & externally
  • Demonstrate ownership & accountability for actions
  • Maintaining the best customer service to our stakeholders, using influencing & negotiation skills where required
