About the role:

The Technical Operations team is looking for a Delivery Manager – Infrastructure to join the team in Ripon. The Delivery Manager – Infrastructure ensures the delivery of new infrastructure solutions through business & technical projects, utilising the services and resources provided by the Infrastructure Operations Team; Hosting, Networks, Digital Workspace and including 3rd Party and cloud hosted solutions.

You will also be responsible for:

  • React to requirements, co-ordinating infrastructure discovery, design activity along with the production of associated documentation required by Infrastructure Operations and artefacts for the PMO Gated model.
  • Technical effort management of Infrastructure Operations resource.
  • In cooperation with the Transition Office, Infrastructure Teams and other key stakeholders, support the implementation, operational acceptance and handover of technical solutions to Operations (as per agreed designs)
  • Recognise system deficiencies during the delivery process and liaises with technical SMEs to implement effective solutions.

What we are looking for:

  • Co-ordinate infrastructure discovery, design, planning & delivery activity.
  • Facilitate effective team interaction and collaboration across IT, the business and 3rd parties
  • Ensure project deadlines and cost targets are met.
  • Identify and support delivery of business benefits.
  • Promote and guide Infrastructure delivery through Wolseley’s PMO Gated model and Resource Management process.
  • Coach, consults and broker; guiding business partners on technology services and solutions
  • Support Transition teams in the hand-over of new solutions to Technical Operations.
  • Seek to expands their technology knowledge and identify opportunities to translate into business value.
