The Role:

The role will involve implementing the branch processes and procedures required to operate the back of house for the Transport Hub branches, while teaching a repeatable model for the surrounding branches to follow. The role will be required to implement a new pattern and new ways of working while motivating and developing the branch team to maintain clean and safe working conditions within the warehouse - to ensure that goods in/out and stock management are dealt with safely, accurately and efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with the branch team to implement the physical, process and working time changes required in the branches to transform them to a transport hub
  • Completing the tasks associated with the conversion of the branch to a transport hub, working with the branch team
  • Implementing the ways of working that will ensure that the processes are as safe, accurate and efficient as possible
  • Promotion of and leading by example in a ‘safety first’ culture in the branch while driving productivity
  • Training and mentoring the branch team in the accurate order picking for customer delivery and returns and in housekeeping to the highest standards with a view to them passing all audit requirements
  • Implementing the process model and standards for the good inwards from Feeder and Supplier deliveries including cross-docking where appropriate
  • Supporting the branch team in the development of the sites stock management processes and holding accuracy
  • Implementing the sites physical and systemic Location changes
  • Implementing the process controls to drive the order consolidation and loading to delivery vehicles to ensure timely and accurate completion that meets and exceeds the customer service expectations
  • Training members of the branch team as required to complete the rollout
  • Supporting the Process Development Project Managers in the delivery of the transport hub model and the consolidation of the delivery fleet to as few locations as possible
  • The above duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be added to or altered from time to time.
