The Role:

 

As Internal Sales Estimator you would provide a single point of contact for strategic Plumb & Parts Center customers regarding quotations and tenders. And to manage and maintain a high level of customer service to key focus customers. This coupled with driving sales and margin growth of Key Accounts through means of effective quoting and contract support acquisition. Whilst building strong relationships with people throughout the business and assist in providing the best service to the customer.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Help to develop new and existing business opportunities through expertise and relationship building with Customers, Key Account Managers, Regional Directors and Suppliers
  • To provide an estimating support function for the sales team and customers
  • To present the quotation to the customer in a professional and time efficient manner
  • Work to crucial deadlines when necessary
  • Work with the sales team to provide excellent customer service through means of estimating and quotations
  • To contribute to the growth of sales value and margins of our key customers by means of effective quotation and contract support management
  • Assist with correct pricing, contract support and prioritising workload
  • To receive pricing / tender enquiries from customers and the sales team
  • To price the quotation accordingly with guidance from the sales team
  • Work closely with suppliers to obtain contract support and keep up-to-date with new products and price increases
  • Responsible for positive self-directed learning in order to develop product and company knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive working environment and team ethic 

You:

  • Work to industry and company procedures, policy and good practice
  • Knowledge of the plumbing & heating industry with both commercial and domestic factors
  • An appreciation of the demands of working within the merchant industry
  • Understanding the importance of teamwork and how it can improve service levels for customers
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding and passion for excellence in customer service
  • IT, Numeracy and Analytical skills required
  • Wolcen knowledge would be desireable
