Product Quality Assurance Manager (Own Brand)

We are looking for an energetic, proactive and innovative Quality Assurance Professional to join the Quality and Environmental team at our Leamington Spa Head Office. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an established and vibrant team.

About the Role

This is a customer facing role, managing product non-conformity, claims and corrective actions, working specifically on our own brand product performance. You will work alongside the Quality Assurance team, the Supplier Quality team and HSQE Systems Manager. You will also support the revision of, and implementation of Wolseley UK quality procedures, standards and specifications to meet customer and regulatory requirements, coupled with identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.

  • To act as the voice of the customer, to drive product quality improvement strategies
  • Play a key role in ensuring that products for resale meet regulatory and legal compliance, are fit for purpose, and meet customer expectations
  • Monitor and advise on the performance of the QMS, produce data and report on performance
  • Develop visual management (KPIs) of customer related improvement activities, New Product Introduction controls, front to back product quality controls and processes
  • Develop Measures and Management Systems, including Quality and Environmental, aligned to business strategy

About you

To be selected for telephone interview you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills,  including presenting to senior management
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities
  • The practical ability to understand how products are manufactured and assembled and where issues may lie and apply this to 1000’s of different product ranges, from valves to rubber seals to power tools in a fast paced environment
  • The ability to oversee high value and complex claims
  • Strong ability to identify and engage key stakeholders
  • A strong work ethic, driven to achieve results, coupled with the ability to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (intermediate excel ability a must)
