About the role

Accountable for meeting business generation and sales growth targets for Cooling across the Wolseley UK (WUK) Branch network. Responsible for the successful execution of the agreed business development plans across the Cooling category with a clear focus upon maximising sales and margins.  Collaborate with key stakeholders within the WUK Branch network and influence the WUK Branch Senior Management Team to accelerate performance within the Cooling specialism.  

About you

  • Accountable for developing sales and channels to market
  • Collaborate with the Cooling Director in developing and implementing the business to maximise sales and margin, achieve challenging targets & drive successful performance
  • Support the Branch teams towards maximising new market opportunities within the Cooling specialism driving specific initiatives to their successful outcome. 
  • Encourage others to be inquisitive in identifying market insights, collating customer feedback and tracking market trends
  • Provide the branch teams with market information on potential new products as well as sales and marketing campaigns
  • Instigate, co-ordinate and manage promotional events to contribute to profitable growth.  Responsible for implementing and optimising category marketing & promotional plans
  • Collaborate and influence stakeholders across the business, such as the Branch teams, Sales teams, Commercial teams and Finance, to identify customer insights and opportunities for improving Cooling performance
  • Develop relationships and proactively maintain regular contact with decision makers at key accounts to identify new opportunities and maintain existing business
  • Ensure Cooling meets or exceeds all customer service promises
  • Collaborate with the WUK eCommerce team to update and promote of the Cooling website
  • Liaise with suppliers and any relevant industry bodies to enhance product knowledge and to promote Cooling services
  • Influence General Managers, Area Managers and Branch Managers and Cooling Sales Managers to promote Cooling categories and improve sales and margin
  • Coach the teams within the WUK Branch network to enhance and develop their understanding Cooling categories and products
  • Ensure appropriate MI is utilised to inform business decisions to drive successful performance
