Wolseley UK have an exciting opening for a field based Warehouse Co-ordinator, to join the business on a Fixed Term Contract until 31st July 2018.

The Role:

Reporting to, and supporting the Operational Change Manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of our transformation programme within a defined region, enabling the delivery of transformed Destination branches. Operational activity will include; finding and moving stock, cancelling down PO's, working on the trade counter, and visiting sites to review proposed new ranges with Managers, including rationale for new ranges.

This position requires travel to Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Stoke, and Carlisle, therefore flexibility and willingness to travel is essential.   

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Operational Change Manager (OCM) as required in the delivery of transformed branches
  • Co-ordinate cleanse activity at branch in conjunction with the Branch Managers
  • Take a lead in picking & packing of Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) as required (i.e. find stock and then pick and pack it for cleanse out of the branch network)
  • Confirm cleanse pallet count to inventory / supply chain colleagues to ensure collections are made on time and in full 
  • Validate the inventory range roll out plan and raise any issues / concerns / risks to the OCM. Then coordinate implementation of the plan with local teams 
  • Assist the branch teams in locating the stock in the most appropriate places to create safe and efficient storage
  • Give day to day shape & direction to receipt and locating of new range. 
  • Support the OCMs in ensuring branch teams understand the benefits of new range & maximise opportunities
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times

To be selected for a telephone interview, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Supervisory experience, coupled with excellent people development and management skills  
  • Relationship building skills – both with your team and with customers
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Warehouse or merchant experience
