The Role:

Primary duties are the drawing office CAD/CAM design function, drawing basic components and general assemblies, machineshop and workshop coordination and scheduling.  Other duties are to provide technical knowledge and support for the Engineering department, covering all aspects and roles within the department to enable greater department flexibility, including assembly and test of technical products, project management, department administration and general warehouse duties. Trained by suppliers to assemble, test and maintain technical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drawing office CAD/CAM and administration
  • Workshop assembly, test, maintenance and service
  • Technical Troubleshooting
  • Maintains awareness of branch targets and objectives
  • Checks and confirms customer expectations and explains clearly when these cannot be met
  • Develops and maintains strong customer and supplier relationships

  • Recognised Engineering Qualification – BTEC/NVQ
  • Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D Software knowledge or equivalent
  • Valve and actuation knowledge and experience
  • Microsoft Office software experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
