To provide our customers, both internal and external, with technical & sales support on Commercial and Domestic products and service offering including -
• To provide support for quotations of goods sold within Wolseley’s product portfolio.
• To work within a team providing internal support of our external sales force and branch network.
• Working closely with customers and sales team on projects to provide an accurate and most competitive proposal in conjunction with VAS and preferred supplier base
• To support department achieve objectives


Business environment

• To work within the London and South East regional office and provide technical and sales support to allocated key accounts and branches
• To liaise with support functions within Wolseley to achieve excellent customer service levels to our customers – ie quality of quotes/tenders and orders
• To consult with other specialisms to ensure excellent customer service levels are maintained in line with Operation Service Excellence – e.g Drain Center, Plumb Center, Integrated Supply and Parts Center
Financial performance
• To monitor and grow sales for regional key accounts and projects
• To monitor and grow margin/GP on department key accounts and projects
• To promote Wolseley own brand products
• To support department/region achieve objectives


• To provide quotation/tenders and technical support to regional/nominated key accounts
• To work closely with customers to ensure accurate interpretation of requirements and offer solutions
• To work with external sales team to ensure competitive pricing strategy
• To promote own brand/preferred supplier products and/or Value Added Services (VAS)
• To manage information on jobs via CRM ( – ie updates to sales team on progress of jobs/tenders
• To maintain quote logs – to track job progress and update win/lost and reasons
• Liaise with preferred manufacturers/suppliers to offer a co-ordinated response to projects
• Self motivated
• Sound commercial awareness of Mechanical Heating Construction Industry
• Good written and verbal communication
• Strong to Excellent customer service skills
• PC literate – Microsoft Excel especially, CRM package to be used –
• Ability to work closely or within a team
• Experience with BIS BIM strategy/technology
• Product knowledge – plastics/Pipe Fittings and Valves/Commercial Heating systems

• Experience working within projects office environment
• Project tracking experience – via media sources eg ABI
• Working knowledge of Luckins or relative engineering supply solutions
• Knowledge of the role of merchant within Mechanical Industry
