The Role:

You’ll support the Branch Manager in a role that is full of variety, driving sales, controlling costs, people management and of course delivering excellent customer service to our trade customers on a day-to-day basis.

The role is sales and customer-focused, and you will play a key part in building relationships across the branch; coaching and motivating your team to achieve their sales goals and top-notch service delivery.  As Deputy Manager you will also be involved in hiring and retaining the best talent for the business. Ultimately we can help develop you to become a Branch Manager of the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience within the merchant industry
  • You will have a background in leadership and face to face sales where you have achieved targeted results
  • Excellent customer service
  • Experience of meeting Training and Competence requirements
  • Experience sales support systems

  • Success in a previous people management/team leadership role in a sales driven trade/retail/customer service environment
  • Confident communication and well developed interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness – margins, profitability, cost management
  • Good IT skills
  • Confidence working with written documents and numbers
  • An understanding of our product range and markets would be an advantage too

Typical branch opening hours: [7:30-5pm Monday-Friday, 7:30-12pm Saturday].
